stove fan

Why need stove fan ?

Most of the heat from stove rise up directly and concentrate around the ceiling, it will need long time burning to warm up the room.

Instead of the heat rising vertically with a standard stove, the stove fan uses its blades to divert the warm air horizontally. The extra movement of air will help warm the whole room, not just the ceiling and the area near the stove.

How is working without batteries or electricity?

The stove fan runs without batteries, cords or electricity,it generates its own power by the heat from the stove surface. The base of the fan transmits the heat to electricity generating units, and electricity generating units convert the heat energy into kinetic energy to drive the motor, then the blades spin.

The fan spins when the temperature is reached 80 ℃.The hotter the hotter the base of the fan gets, the faster the fan turns, and the more air the fan circulates into the room.It will slow down and stop as the stove cools.

Maximum operating temperature range: 350ºC

Optimum operating temperature range: 80ºC-250ºC

The stove fan is designed for usage on freestanding stoves with a normal surface temperature of between 80 - 350℃. Temperatures above this range may damage the fan and the electricity generating units.

Use Suggestions

Keep the wood stove fan at least 4" away from the flue so that it does not pick up the radiant heat from the flue. This will cause it to run faster, and for a longer time when the fire is low.If you wish to distribute the heat from the flue across the room, point the fan slightly towards the flue so that the moving air picks up the flue heat as well.In my experience, placing the stove fan near the back of the wood stove, and pointing into the room, works best.
